Detailed description of Idlewild Golf Course
Idlewild Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
Idlewild Golf Course first opened for play in 1978.
This somewhat lengthy course has a number of elevated greens. Twelve water hazards and large sections of marshlands can be challenging. In addition, numerous bunkers guard the greens and landing areas along the fairways.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,825 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,254 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 521 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 13, a par-3 that plays to 143 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 424 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 13, a 143 yard par-3.

Played on a cool foggy Sunday. Unfortunately the greens were plugged and sanded, so they were a bit uneven. Layout is great with fairways that have good landing areas, but if you don't hit it straight, you can get into trouble.
